Material: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), typically PE63,PE80 or PE100 grade.
Design:
One end of the pipe or fitting is expanded into a socket (female) form, sized precisely to accept a matching spigot end.
The inner diameter of the socket is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the mating pipe to allow for proper fusion.
Joining Method:
Socket fusion welding is performed by heating both the socket and spigot surfaces with a special fusion tool, then pressing them together to create a homogeneous, monolithic joint.
Sizes: Typically available in small to medium diameters ( DN20 to DN110), where socket fusion is most efficient.
Pressure Rating: Matches SDR class of the system, SDR11 (PN16), SDR17 (PN10), etc.
Potable water distribution
Gas transmission
Irrigation systems
Industrial and chemical pipelines
Compressed air (low pressure)
Sewage and drainage systems
Provides a leak-free joint without the need for gaskets or adhesives
Excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and chemicals
Lightweight and easy to handle and install
Long service life over 50 years under proper conditions
Ideal for confined or trenchless installations due to minimal joint size
